Meriting is a show aimed to entertain, inform, and educate the community of Thaba Nchu and surrounding areas. The show is hosted by Thapelo Silvanus Mareka(Tepza de DJ) on Kgolagano FM from 15:00-17:00.
Talking about what prompted him to be a radio presenter, Thapelo reiterated that he has always been a fan of Motsweding FM since a young age and loved how it promotes the Setswana language and culture.
“The love for radio inspired me and when I get vital information, I share it with my listeners because listeners have to be informed at all times.”
Thapelo is always overwhelmed by the positive response he gets from listeners. He said the positive response makes him happy as people appreciate his work and the preparation he puts into the show.
“I always make sure that I research a lot about issues that affect our society, before I go to the studio, I always make sure that I pray first,” Thapelo explained.
He looks up to Douglas Mosadi as his radio presenting style inspires him and makes Thapelo love being on air. Thapelo credits his mother, Loxion Sentimile and Mohau Khonco for their support and advice.
