Senkie Molaudi, a 26-year-old self-taught visual artist from Monyakeng in Wesselsbron, Free State, has set his sights high with the ambition to place his hometown on the visual art map. Since matriculating in 2020, Senkie has honed his skills independently, proving that talent does not always come from formal education.

His captivating artwork consistently leaves people in awe, showcasing his dedication to practicing daily and refining his abilities. Senkie emphasizes that many assume he studied art, when in reality, he has relied on his practical skills rather than theoretical knowledge.

For him, art serves as a powerful means of expression, allowing him to convey emotions and feelings across various surfaces, be it canvas, paper, or walls.

Inspired by renowned artist Nelson Makamo, Senkie has gained a new perspective on the world of art. He admires how Makamo illustrates his raw talent within the vibrant streets of Johannesburg, which fueled Senkie’s passion for visual art.

One of Senkie’s aspirations is to meet his hero, Nelson Makamo. His artworks not only bring him personal fulfillment but also allow him to support his grandmother by contributing to household needs.

Senkie creates murals, canvas pieces, and even paints on clothing, adjusting his prices based on the specific requests of his clients. For those looking to support his artistic journey, he can be reached at 081 370 3039.
