Metsimaholo FC was crowned as the champions of the Tlale Easter Tournament Best of the Best Top 16.

16 Teams from across the Free State took part in the tournament that started on 29 March and ended on 1 April, the matches were played at the Arsenal Ground in Zone 1 and the final games were held at Mmabana Stadium on 1 April.

Teams gave their all demonstrating their intentions to go all the way to the final, however, only two teams made it to the finals which were Metsimaholo FC and Eleven Experience.

There were female matches and curtain raiser matches played. The final match between Metsimaholo FC and Eleven Experience was a little bit delayed by rain which poured in torrents but did not dampen the mood of people who came in numbers to watch the match.

The spectators waited with patience for the rain to end and enjoyed the final matches singing, ululating, and cheering on the teams playing.

Both teams searched for goals in the first half of the match, even though the water-soaked pitch made it difficult but the teams managed to maneuver around the water-logged pitch and searched for goals.

The second half produced fireworks with Metsimaholo making counterattacks that were thwarted easily by Eleven Experience. Eleven Experience also made their intentions known, missing a couple of chances to register their names on the scoreboard.

The teams failed to find a goal in the 90 minutes of the match and the match was decided on penalties where Metsimaholo won 3-1.
