The South African Arts and Culture Youth Forum (SAACYF) Free State chapter is set to conduct a site visit to key institutions in the Free State Province. The visits will be led by the organisation’s Provincial Secretary, Linda Ngqotwane.
The Organisation said the visits scheduled for February aim to engage with stakeholders, identify challenges, and explore opportunities for growth and development in the arts and culture sector.
Institutions that will be visited are the Performing Arts Centre of Free State (PACOFS), Lesedi FM, and the Free State Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture, among other institutions.

The Organisation stated that they will be visiting PACOFS to address allegations of Corruption and maladministration, Lack of consequence management, Inadequate leadership, Infrastructure challenges, and Artistic development and accessibility.
At Lesedi FM, their focus will be on the recent Controversy surrounding the Song of the Year award, Lack of transparency and accountability, and allegations of payola, favoritism, and double standards, including allegations of a lack of support for local artists.
The Provincial Secretary of the Organisation stated that their visit to the Free State Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture will focus on Artist Imbizo and budget allocation, Favoritism and use of state resources, and Arts in Schools program and EPWP contract management
