During the 2026 MACUFE launch, the Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation revealed an exciting artistic line up for MACUFE 2026. Once again, local artists have been included and will feature greatly.
The line up is a blend of local and national artists and excitement is mounting.
The artistic line up features the following artists:
Comedy: Shaun Dihoro; Rasta Eye & Eye; Mashabela Galane; Tieho Khakhau; Celeste Ntuli; Sputniki; and Chris Mapane.
Divas Concert, we will headline the following artists: Zonke; Lira; Brenda Mtambo; Puleng Phoofolo; Snazo Moloi; and Nthabi.
Amapiano vs Hip Hop: Khuli Chana; Big Laz; Amo; Moarda; Majasto; Taylor K; Teddy MC; Emtee; Jcob; and Kenny Mcvital
Main Music Festival: Sannere; Jaziel Brothers; Siphokazi; Khuthala; Fantas DJ; Zonke; Lira; Monea Moshesh; Puleng Phofolo; Victor Kgantlape; Thabiso wa Maloti; Kaya; Peter Nthoane Band; and Semito.
Gospel Music Festival: Minister Spokes; Teboho Moruti; Winnie Mashaba; Sello Malete; Jabu Hlongwane; William Mthethwa; Teboho Moloi; Katleo Seobi; Keletso Mofokeng; Andiswa Mbantsa; Rre Gao; Kgosi Lebitsa; Lebo Segobela; and Puleng March.
“As the Department we are thus responding to this clarion call by broadening access to the arts through this festival, as well as through continuing to roll out other cultural programmes. By continuing to expand MACUFE platforms, both through the developmental activations such as the District Arts and Culture Festivals, Provincial Free State Homebrew Festival and other platforms, we endeavour to harness the very spirit of social cohesion and nation building that the President called upon us to do. MACUFE 2026 will reflect these historical moments and milestones of our country.” Said MEC Sifuba.
The Department also commits itself to keep on making access to various platforms of the festival affordable so as to enable a wider appreciation of our cultural heritage as the primary focus of MACUFE. Like last year, ticket prices will be kept at an affordable rate.
