She began as a powerful dancer and made a name for herself as a cheerleader for Bloemfontein Celtic. Music has always been a part of her life as she has been a musician since a young age.
Today, Tshegofatso Phetlhu travels the world and is a well know DJ whose skills behind the decks are entertaining thousands of South Africans and her fans.
DJ Tshegu began at a tender age of 4 to entertain and over the years grew to be a mega star she is currently. DJ Tshegu’s hit song “Tiya Mfana” (Mzokwana) kept the dance floors ablaze in 2023.
The music video for the song was shot in Bloemfontein outside paradise hall and the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium. Staying true to her love for Siwelele, the video featured the die-hard Siwelele fans clad in their popular green and white.
DJ Tshegu’s father also played a big role in her career.
“Working with one of the biggest artists in the world, Focalistic for a feature was eye-opening, and I am grateful for the chance as I’ve gained a lot of knowledge” Said DJ Tshegu.
From performing at weddings and staff parties, DJ Tshegu now performs at biggest festivals in the country rubbing shoulders with the A-listers of the industry.
When on stage, DJ Tshegu brings her A-game and leaves the fans eating from the palm of her hands. The DJ credits her family as her biggest supporters. She intends to keep on releasing great music.
“I am very excited to use music to express my feelings and views to the world.” Said DJ Tshegu.
She also featured in a Mzansi Bioscope movie, Madumane.
