Creatives from across the Free State gathered at the Mmabana Theatre in Thaba Nchu on Saturday, February 15, for the Royal Afternoon Gala.

The attendees hailed from Bloemfontein, Botshabelo, Thaba Nchu, Welkom, and Clocolan, among other locations. The Royal Afternoon Gala was jointly organized by artist Pule Paul Peter and the Bopa Tsebo organization.

The event celebrated, acknowledged, and appreciated local creatives who have made significant contributions to the creative sector, winning numerous awards at provincial, national, and international levels.

Those who attended were treated to a unique theatre performance combined with live music. The theatre was filled with sounds from artists Mpho, Rasta, and Tebello Khabo.

Pule Paul Peter, the organizer of the Royal Afternoon Gala, emphasized that local creatives are doing tremendous work to keep the creative and arts community in the province vibrant.

He explained that it is essential to celebrate and recognize their dedication, love, and time devoted to the arts. Peter expressed the importance of bringing these talented individuals together to honor their impact and hard work while also encouraging them to continue their efforts and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents.
