Following the recent announcement that she will be joining Mrs South Africa’s Top 30 Finalists for 2026, Lomile is now setting her sights on the upcoming finals in November, while preparing for an intensive schedule of workshops, photoshoots, mentoring sessions, and charity engagements over the coming months.
Born in Botshabelo, raised in Bloemfontein, Free State, Dithakong has spent the past 30 years in Bloemfontein balancing marriage, motherhood, a professional career, entrepreneurship, and community initiatives, including her work with Young Lotus Club, an NPO focusing on mental health by coaching and inspiring people to be their best version of themselves. By using her voice and platforms to promote healing, resilience, and self-worth within her community, she formed meaningful partnerships.
Since entering the Mrs South Africa programme earlier this year, she has remained focused on achieving her goals of inspiring people from disadvantaged communities. Her commitment and determination have now paid off, earning her a prized spot among the Top 30 Finalists.
“No matter where you come from, your future is not limited by your past.” Notes Dithakong

The road to the Top 30 began in earnest during Mrs South Africa’s semi-finals week, held from 2 to 4 July in Johannesburg. Over three demanding days of prep, personal growth, learning, and further networking, semi-finalists worked through leadership roundtables, special mentorship sessions, interviews, and the spectacular on-stage Semi-final Showcase that saw the Theatre of Marcellus buzzing with excitement.
A full three days were dedicated to workshops led by experts in media relations, business, and social responsibility. Finalists also participated in their first professional photo- and video shoots to help support their personal branding and social media efforts going forward.
More than just a pageant
Affectionately called the MBA of Life, Mrs South Africa’s programme is designed to equip married women aged 25 to 55 years with strategic leadership tools, as well as a network in the form of its famed sisterhood that grows long after the crown changes hands.
The aim is to graduate a cohort equipped to contribute meaningfully to socioeconomic challenges and initiatives that change lives. Many participants even go on to launch their own community development organisations that address South Africa’s most pressing challenges.
Each Mrs South Africa campaigns and raises funds for 4 Change Foundation, the Society for Animals in Distress (SAID), and the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) being the charities that Mrs South Africa supports.

“The Mrs South Africa journey has been a deeply transformative experience for me. It has stretched me beyond my comfort zone and reminded me of the power of my purpose. As a wife, mother, and community leader, this platform has given me the opportunity to rediscover my voice and stand confidently in who I am. It is not just about the title; it is about the growth, the sisterhood, and the impact I am able to make in the lives of others.”
Going forward, Dithakong will host a purpose-driven event to raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), one of the two official charities Mrs South Africa supports.
