The fifth season of Big Brother Mzansi, known as Umlilo (which means fire), has officially launched and is currently trending in South Africa.

The highly anticipated 2024 season kicked off on Sunday, January 12, introducing a new lineup of housemates who are expected to shake things up in the Big Brother Mzansi House.

This year, the Free State Province is well represented by Karabo Mphirime from Thaba Nchu and Beekay from Qwaqwa in the Eastern Free State. Last season, Zintle Mofokeng and Lerato Modise also represented the Free State province well, hailing from Qwaqwa and Senekal respectively, and they impressed viewers during Season 4.

Karabo is a model from Thaba Nchu who has made a name for herself in the modeling industry. She is also a brand ambassador for PalesaEntle Beauty Spa in Thaba Nchu.

Describing herself as talkative and loud, Karabo shares that her personality is shaped by a tapestry of diverse experiences, aspirations, and influences, emerging from both triumphs and tribulations.

Beekay, an electrician from Qwaqwa who currently lives in Johannesburg, believes that life is about creating unforgettable memories. He thrives in competitive environments and enjoys pushing his limits, whether conquering a mountain or mastering a new skill.

The introduction of these two Free State housemates has been met with enthusiasm on social media, with many promising to vote for them and support them until the end of the season. The Umlilo Season is set to deliver even more twists and entertainment for viewers!
