At just 8 years old, Khotsitse Khantsi from Kroonstad has been presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
She has been selected to compete at the 19th World Championship Dance Federation Competition in Germany, which is scheduled for July 1-5, 2026.
Khotsitse, affectionately known as Khotsi, is a grade 3 learner at Trio Prim and is a passionate South African Country and Western dancer. This chance to compete on an international stage is a dream come true for her, after tirelessly qualifying in both the Classic and Modern Line Dance Youth categories.
However, the talented dancer needs financial support to make her trip a reality. Funds are required for flights, meals, accommodation, visa costs, and event registration fees, among other expenses.
Her parents are reaching out to kind-hearted individuals and potential sponsors to assist in funding this incredible journey, as she will be proudly representing South Africa. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
