Middle-aged and elderly women from Kgotsong, Bothaville, start their day with a nutritious soft porridge drive. The idea of serving soft porridge at the local clinic was organized by seven ladies who later registered as Botshelo Woman Empowerment Non-profit Organization, with the aim of encouraging a healthy lifestyle in the community.

The purpose of this program was to persuade patients to collect medication without facing any hunger challenges, such as feeling dizzy or fainting while queuing.

The initiative also encourages people with limited resources not to hesitate when collecting their medication due to their backgrounds. Botshelo Woman Empowerment has been serving meals and porridge since 2016, with seven ladies. Their aim is also to see their NPO grow and attract inspiration from the community.

Their hope is also to add a garden project with the expectation of receiving sponsorship or any kind of support for stability. Botshelo Womane Empowerment operates directly at a Car Wash near Kgotsong Maile Clinic.
