1976 Films is making storytelling and public cinema enjoyable and fashionable. Now in their third year, 76 Cinema will once again screen thought-provoking films for free throughout Bloemfontein, made possible through their association with NFVF and PESP 5.
These films are designed to educate, create interest, foster debate, and tell authentic African stories. On Friday, 25 July 2025, 76 Cinema will screen “Baka Ngwane” at Art Café, located at the corner of Zastron and East Burger Street in Bloemfontein.

“Baka Ngwane” is a powerful period drama that explores themes of love, honour, and the search for a home for the Emaswati people.
Set against the backdrop of ancient Eswatini, the story follows King Matalatala as he faces the greatest challenge of his reign: leading his people across the perilous Zambezi River in search of a new homeland.

Entrance to the screening is FREE, and everyone is welcome. There will be a question-and-answer session with the film’s director, allowing the audience to gain direct insight into the film and its core themes.
The screening will begin at 18:00. While entry is free, you must RSVP to secure your seat. To reserve a seat, please scan the QR Code next to the “Baka Ngwane” movie poster or contact/WhatsApp 078 218 3012 (Mpho Tau). Don’t miss “Baka Ngwane”. Reserve your seat now!
