Ladybrand’s renowned artist, Thabang Mojalefa Mokheseng, better known as Majasto, has dropped two fresh singles titled “Moya Ona” and “Wa Badimo.”
“Moya Ona” reflects Majasto’s spiritual journey, highlighting his previous reluctance to accept his calling, which he has now fully embraced. The artist, who is part of the Sesotho Hip Hop scene, has roots deeply embedded in music, coming from a musical family where his father played guitar and piano. His love for music is also influenced by his grandmother, who played the keyboard at church.
Since entering the music industry in 2012, Majasto has released six singles across all digital platforms. His collaborations include notable names such as Star Kruss, Troy M, K9, and the Bakgethwa Spiritual Choir. The single “Wa Badimo” features artists Sebata Sa Merung and Mr. Bioskop, while “Moya Ona” sees production by Raw Ty alongside Flash Cortez.
“I have released two singles at once because the storylines are interconnected,” Majasto explains. “Moya means I have accepted the calling that God has given me and I’m now embracing it musically. I’m proud now because I had been avoiding who I am. I’ve faced depression and anxiety for a long time, but now I’m healed.”
Both songs are available for streaming on digital music platforms.
