Matsoho A Hlatswana Skills Development Organisation from Bloemfontein recently held a Future Leaders Program aimed at nurturing primary school learners to become future leaders. Learners from Tjhebelopele Primary, Rekgonne Primary, Relebeletse, Bochabela, Kamohelo, Matla, and Lesedi Primary School attended the event.

Fifteen learners from each of the seven schools that participated were selected as future leaders. They will collaborate with their schools and Matsoho A Hlatswana Skills Development Organisation on various projects designed to develop their leadership skills.

Mohau Motsumi from Matsoho A Hlatswana Skills Development Organisation emphasized the importance of nurturing young leaders at the primary school level to instill discipline and the core qualities of effective leadership.

During the induction, the future leaders were informed about expectations, which included leading by example, arriving on time to school, listening to teachers, and striving for academic excellence.

Guest speakers were invited to motivate and encourage the learners about the significance of leadership, its responsibilities, and appropriate behavior. The participants also signed a pledge committing themselves to lead with integrity and respect.
