35-year-old Minister Pule Matebesi wears many hats. He is a pastor, gospel singer, father, and songwriter, to mention just a few.
Matebesi hails from Sasolburg in the Free State, where he serves as a pastor and music director at Agape Family Fellowship Church. He has dedicated his life to his ministry and uplifting souls through gospel music.
Matebesi has one album titled “Jeso Oa Kgona” and an EP. In 2021, he won a Free State Gospel Music Award for Best Single/Best Collaboration. The “Jeso Oa Kgona” album features 13 tracks.
Additionally, he received the Best Songwriter award at the Mpumalanga Music Gospel Awards and the Best Worship Song award at the Bokone Bophirima Awards in North West.
According to Matebesi, he began his music journey in Sunday school at the age of twelve and later joined the worship team.
“My professional music career started with the song ‘Obrigado,’ recorded with Ngonyama Music in 2019. In 2020, I recorded my first live DVD at Etienne Rousseau in Sasolburg. In 2022, I released the Agape EP, and last year, I released the single ‘Mollo.’ My aim is to inspire young upcoming artists to persevere, as success is achievable with patience.”
