DJ Hloni (Lehlohonolo Ashton Morara) is a DJ and radio presenter. He hosts the Club Monate Show on Kgolagano FM, an online radio station in Thaba Nchu, Free State.
Hloni is a Senior Graphic Designer and Content producer for most of the shows at Kgolagano FM. After hearing about Kgolagano FM from Mohau Konco the Station Manager, he saw it as an opportunity to showcase his skills and expand his love for music.
Hloni has been a DJ since 1999. Talking to Free State World, DJ Hloni said radio changes lives and wanted to be part of the people who are changing lives through the radio.
“As a Senior Graphic Designer, Content producer, and also responsible for social media, I am responsible for the content of all if not, most of the shows. I create posters and compile music and work with our hardworking production team.” Said Hloni.
Hloni explained that research is vital and he fuses it a lot in his show as it forms a mammoth part of preparation before going on air. DJ Fresh inspired Hloni to be a DJ.
Hloni also gives budding DJ’s in Thaba Nchu, an opportunity to have their mixtapes played to showcase their skills and build confidence.
