Kabelo “Kaybee” Brilliant Tau, a presenter at Kgolagano FM, discovered his passion for radio at a young age. His desire to be behind the mic led him to pursue a career in this field. Kaybee hosts the “Urban Lunch” show on Kgolagano FM daily from 12:00 to 15:00. He shares,
“I’m passionate about radio because it brings people together, providing a platform for information sharing and fostering a sense of community among listeners with similar interests.”
Through his show, Kaybee aims to inspire change and hope while entertaining his audience with a unique blend of celebrity gossip, current affairs, health issues, cooking techniques, and thought-provoking discussions.
To prepare for each show, he strategizes, brainstorms, and researches topics, collaborating closely with his team to deliver engaging content.
One of his favorite aspects of hosting “Urban Lunch” is raising health awareness and interacting with listeners during discussions. Kaybee began his journey at Kgolagano FM as a radio presenter in October 2024.
His inspiration for becoming a radio presenter came from listening to Ntate Thuso Motaung on Sundays during the show “Magolong a Matala.”
“I drew immense inspiration from him, which motivated me to pursue a career in radio,” Kaybee said.
