Addressing scores of people who were outside the Bloemfontein magistrate court, Steven Sejakanes’s wife, Mahadi Sejakane has called for justice to take its course and for her husband to be locked up.
This is after Songezo Steven Sejakane made his second court appearance at the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Wednesday 3 July for the murder of his girlfriend Mpho Moalosi Mokhele whose body was found dumped on the Dewetsdorp road on 17 June.
The case against Sejakane was postponed to 15 August following a very brief court appearance where he allegedly abandoned bail. Mahadi Sejakane said she is worried as the case keeps getting postponed and is worried about her safety and that of her children.

Mahadi added that her husband must not be given bail and must remain locked up in jail and pay for his sins. Mahadi emphasized that Steven is a smooth talker who hides behind his smile and that should he be given bail, another woman might be a victim of his deeds.
“I am worried about our lives as women, our children are at risk because of this man. We are calling upon the Department of Justice to ensure that justice is served for the family of Mpho. Steven must not be given bail and must be locked.” Said Mahadi.
Speaking to Free State World, Mpho Moalosi Mokhele’s brother Tsediso Mahlanyane applauded Mahadi’s support and said she is willing to testify against her husband.
Tsediso also thanked all people who continue to support them as a family and also the family of Bongiwe Phulampa who was killed by his boyfriend Sipho Masithela.
