Ten-year-old Omphile Lethabo Naphtali, a learner at Unicom Primary School from Botshabelo, is set to represent both his school and the Free State at the upcoming Athletics Championships in Cape Town.
Omphile recently qualified to represent his school in Cape Town at the athletics competition held on Saturday, 7 March.
Although he resides in Botshabelo, he makes the journey to Unicom Primary School in Tweespruit to pursue his athletic endeavors. He will be competing in both the 100m dash and the 100m relay.

He expressed his gratitude to his dedicated coach, Mrs. Lenong, whose hard work, guidance, and belief in him have been instrumental in his success. Omphile is determined to make both his school and the province proud.

His mother, Lerato Naphtali, shared her pride in her son, noting that he is the only one in the family involved in sports. She is excited for him and wishes him all the best as he aims for greater achievements.
