The recent edition of Weep, Wipe and Dine was a great success, taking place at News Cafe in Bloemfontein.

This reloaded event aimed to spotlight female entrepreneurs, providing them with opportunities to showcase their products, generate income, and connect with like-minded individuals.

An exciting change for this edition was the inclusion of male participants, broadening the scope of the event beyond its usual female focus.

Attendees were not only able to promote their businesses but also gain valuable insights from guest speakers like Pearl Lebusho, Teboho Masakala, and Masabata Lebetsa.

Conceived by Mannei Hlabedi, the event encourages women to find a safe space where they can breathe, support one another, and thrive in various aspects of life, including family, marriage, and business.

Weep, Wipe and Dine facilitates innovation and entrepreneurship through access to resources, mentorship, and a platform for networking, all aimed at driving economic growth and creating jobs.

During her address, Masabata Lebetsa emphasized the importance of diversifying income streams and not hesitating to travel for business opportunities.

She shared her inspiring journey, explaining how she purchased her car “CASH KONTANT” through her entrepreneurial efforts. She urged fellow entrepreneurs to continuously educate themselves about business, keep precise records, and clearly separate personal finances from business income.

The event was organised by the Passionate Kasi Chix Foundation and Silver K Foundation.

Celebrating its third year, it coincided with Men’s Health Awareness Month in November, promoting unity and empowerment among Africans under the theme “SANKOFA (To go back and get it).”

Overall, Weep, Wipe and Dine succeeded in bringing entrepreneurs together in a collaborative environment to learn and grow.

The event  was supported and sponsored by News Café, Fashion World,Fibre Time,Lolly Beauty Blog and Hairstyle, June July, Empire, Hustle Mom,Passionate Kasi Chix Foundation, Ntsoaki Beauty Spa, 1 Free State TV, Monono Garments, Weep, Wipe and Dine, Nedbank, and Tigeo’s Hair do and Nail Studio.
