Lebohang Phoshuli, a writer from Theunissen, is reaching for the stars. He is the founder and director of Lebohang Xavier Poetry Publications and is also a poet, author, linguist, and motivational speaker.
In 2023, he began his literary career with the launch of his debut novel, “Mohlolo: In the Shadows of Hope”, published by P&M Publishers, a company he founded that same year.
This book explores themes of grief, hope, and personal growth, marking a pivotal moment in Lebohang’s journey as a storyteller.
Later in 2023, Lebohang achieved a significant milestone by signing a publishing contract with an American Publishing house, which opened the door to the international literary market for him.
After this breakthrough, he expanded P&M Publishers into what is now known as Lebohang Xavier Poetry Publications, to support and publish emerging writers.
Lebohang contributed the literary works of other authors and further contributed editorial and layout work for Molahlehi Magwala’s latest literary installment.
In 2024, he initiated and directed the Think Café Library Outreach Programme, aimed at revitalizing school libraries in the Masilo Municipality. Through this initiative, he established functional libraries, reading clubs, and values programs at Boliba Primary School, Reseamohetse Primary School, and Khotso Primary School, empowering hundreds of learners with access to books and literary activities.
Lebohang is currently based in Bloemfontein, and is committed to discovering and supporting new writers.
