Rockland businessman Mbulelo Mbelo has stepped forward to support youth development by donating a complete soccer kit to Daluxolo Primary School. His initiative aims to encourage young learners to participate in sports and stay away from harmful activities such as drug abuse.
In an interview with Free State World, Mbelo shared his motivation behind the donation.
“One of the reasons I decided to donate this kit is to help remove kids from the streets and introduce them to sports. Many young people fall into drugs due to idleness, and I believe sports can be a positive alternative,” he said.
Daluxolo Primary School staff and learners expressed their gratitude for the donation, with school representatives emphasizing the importance of sports in shaping young minds.
“This is more than just a soccer kit; it is an opportunity for our learners to develop discipline, teamwork, and a sense of purpose,” said Couch
Mbelo, known for his passion for community development, encouraged other business owners to invest in youth initiatives, stating that small efforts can create lasting change.
The donation has been widely praised by the Chairman of SGB, Mr. Thabang Papa, who sees it as a crucial step toward building a brighter future for the children of Rockland.
