He is a familiar face in Thaba Nchu as he sings outside the Capitec bank, The Thaba Nchu taxi rank, and around the Thaba Nchu CBD.
Even the “Ngilele Hotela” hitmaker, Killorbeezbeatz looped one of the songs he sang and added it to an amapiano beat he made and shared on TikTok, earning the young man some praise for his talent.
22-year-old Lehlohonolo Shuping (22) is passionate about Gospel and Afro-pop music. Even though he is known for asking people R2 after singing, he began singing in the Thaba Nchu CBD at age 17.
While people may regard Lehlohonolo as just another youth performing on the street, good Samaritan, Apostle Kabelo Mototo from Prayer Cathedral Church took an interest in him and persuaded him to sing at church as he was mesmerized by his talent.
“What motivated me to help him was that I always saw him sing in the CBD irrespective of the weather conditions, he will always sing, and I was amazed at the talent he has musically.” Said Apostle Matoto.
Apostle Mototo reached out to the young man and assisted him with his basic needs and wanted to see the young man realize his dream of having an album or a single.
He is calling on everyone that can help nurture Lehlohonolo’s talent by helping with studio sessions as he believes it will motivate Lehlohonolo and inspire him to focus on his talent. He is also calling on those who can help with clothes, toiletry, and food to reach out to them.
Mototo stated that the are other good Samaritans who are assisting the young man. Those who own recording studios or can offer to take the young man under their wing musically are urged to contact Apostle Kabelo Mototo on 068 180 0798.
