Several Lesotho nationals were allegedly found in possession of fake driver’s licences during a routine traffic operation at Silver City in Bloemfontein earlier today.
The discovery was made while a well-known traffic officer, popularly known as “City,” was conducting law enforcement duties in the area.
During the inspection, it was alleged that some motorists presented fraudulent licences believed to have been produced using a Boxer supermarket card.
Traffic officers immediately intervened and began verifying the documents as part of ongoing traffic law enforcement operations.
The incident has raised concerns about the circulation of fraudulent driving licences and the risks they pose to road safety.
