Thabo Eugene Mphatsoe, a South African professional, author, and community-minded leader born and raised in Kutlwanong (Monganeng), Block 4, in the Free State province, has published a powerful must-have book titled “The Gentlemen’s Table.“

“The Gentlemen’s Table” is not a book about dining etiquette. It is a mirror held up to modern manhood. Using the dinner table as a metaphor for life, money, and relationships. It challenges both men and women to think deeply about how they consume, share, and respect the opportunities life serves before them.

Through engaging reflections, real-life stories, and African wisdom, the book teaches that manners are not just about forks and knives but about values, boundaries, and gratitude.

This book invites men and women to the gentleman’s table, a place where character matters more than appetite.

In today’s world, men and women are often encouraged to consume, to chase money, status, and pleasure,e but rarely to reflect on how they do so. The book shifts the focus back to the principles of a gentleman’s inner posture.

It’s a call to slow down, to reflect, and to cultivate manners that feed not only the stomach but also the soul. The Gentlemen’s Table is a principles-based work that uses the metaphor of a table to explore life, leadership, money, and relationships.

His upbringing shaped his deep sense of resilience, responsibility, and purpose.

Thabo Mphatsoe was raised by his late grandmother, Kebawetse Lydia Mphatsoe, whose strength, discipline, and wisdom instilled in him the values of courage, sacrifice, hard work, and integrity that continue to guide his life and leadership.

Professionally, Thabo Eugene Mphatsoe is a Civil Engineering practitioner, registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
