Sibusiso Nyathe, a visual artist from the small town of Villiers in the Free State, is determined to reach great heights and achieve his dreams.
Despite his humble beginnings, he is making waves with his artwork, gaining recognition both locally and among his peers. Nyathe discovered his artistic talent in 2023 while still in primary school, inspired by someone from his hometown.

“What I love most about being a visual artist is the admiration my work receives from people and how much they appreciate it. That inspires me to continue doing what I love and excel at,” Nyathe said.
He charges R400 for his artwork, with prices varying based on the project’s workload. He sells his pieces through commercial projects, typically completing a project in 2-3 days. However, he pays meticulous attention to detail and quality, which can extend the time if necessary to ensure that the final product meets his clients’ satisfaction.
