On 20 February 2025, MEC Dibolelo Mance led a coordinated effort with various government stakeholders for a cleaning campaign at Lenyora La Thuto Secondary School in Botshabelo.
This initiative was prompted by a request from the school’s principal, Ntate Sephaka, who expressed gratitude for the recently donated math kits and requested additional support for cleaning the school grounds.
He stated, “We appreciate all you have done for us, MEC Mance. As we receive these math kits, we kindly ask for assistance in cleaning the area around our school to ensure that our environment is conducive for both teachers and learners.”
A few weeks prior, MEC Mance had visited the same school to donate math kits to the twelfth-grade learners, aiming to support those studying drawing, design, and other technical subjects.

“We are pleased to support schools, especially those offering technical subjects like Lenyora La Thuto, because it aligns with our mandate as the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure,” said MEC Mance.
The Lenyora La Thuto School has been adopted by the Department, with plans for stakeholder engagement involving strategic partners like the Central University of Technology (CUT) and training SETAs to promote innovative and forward-thinking approaches to artisanship, making the learning environment more appealing.
“If we invest comprehensively in schools like Lenyora La Thuto, we can develop a solid foundation of technical skills. The technical subjects offered here can ultimately produce skilled and well-trained artisans, which is a priority for our Department as we focus on technical development,” MEC Mance added.
