Macufe 2025 has officially been launched with an impressive lineup featuring some of the biggest names in the South African music industry.
Artists set to perform at Macufe 2025 include Makhadzi, Vusi Nova, Thandiswa Mazwai, Judith Sephuma, Sannere, DJ Kwesta, Durban Gogo, Scotts Maphuma, Mawhoo, Ntate Stunna, Jaziel Brothers, and Semito. Additionally, other performers will include Press, the Soweto Gospel Choir, Jabu Hlongwane, Thinah Zungu, Tshepiso Mpotle, Teboho Moloi, Lebo Sekgobelo, Esethu Mngxuma, and Ayanda Ntanzi.
The Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation said they have a solid lineup consisting of the mentioned artists with tickets ranging from R100, R150 and R200.
Macufe 2025 is scheduled to take place from 3-7 September 2025. Free State Premier Letsoha-Mathae emphasized the cultural and socio-economic significance of the festival during its launch.
“We are not only aiming to re-establish MACUFE as a source of pride for the people of Free State, but also to ensure that this cultural event is accessible to many. The pricing of tickets and the provision of non-ticketed events within the MACUFE lineup demonstrate our commitment to making arts and culture available to all,” stated MEC Ntombizanele Sifuba.
