Lydia Raphuthing from Welkom in Free State was announced as the winner and the face of Plus Size Free State during the Face of Plus Size Free State Beauty Pageant held recently in Kroonstad.
The pageant catered for plus-size women across the Free State. The pageant was a mammoth success and served its purpose. Participants who were part of the pageant were from various areas in the Free State, showing how seriously they valued the pageant.
The pageant kicked off with a gala dinner and the main event was held the following day. Ntombi Matsoake, the pageant director expressed happiness at the success of the pageant.
She said the pageant magnifies plus-size beauty and instills confidence in women to appreciate themselves and to be proud of who they are.
“I am happy with the turnout and support we got. Entries for next year’s pageant will take place from November and January 2025. We are grateful to Free State World Online Newspaper, our media partner for this year’s pageant and also for next year. Congratulations to all who entered and the winners, we are grateful for your support and for making this pageant a zenith success.” Said Matsoake.
Noluthando Jama from Hennenman was the Second Runner up while Matlhaku Suzan Motloung from Bethlehem was the First Runner up. Lydia Raphuthing from Welkom took home the crown.
