News Editor and Multitalented Lomile Mokoena, who also worked briefly as a news/current affairs anchor at Mzansi FM, formerly Phuthaditjhaba Radio Station, has joined Beezy FM. Lomile hails from Clarens in the Free State.
Lomile boasts an honours degree in Language Practice and Linguistics from the University of the Free State. Her journey in the media world began in 2020 as a freelance journalist for Opera News, until she established herself as a journalist and sub
editor in 2021.
Her love for journalism grew more with exposure to fieldwork and conducting interviews. She then became interested in expanding her craft by seeking to discover other media platforms to showcase as well as to develop her skills.
In 2023, Mokoena left print media and landed herself a role in radio as an hourly news reader as well as a current affairs anchor at Phuthaditjhaba Radio Station. She has recently joined Beezy FM, which is an online radio station founded by Nkunyana Nkunyana aka “Skuzabell ngwana wa bo Regina Belle”. She still carries her roles as a philanthropist, master of
ceremonies, freelance translator and editor.
The new voices will be on air and get “Beezy” from the 1st of March. According to Mokoena, she can’t wait to hit the airwaves and nurture her talent .
She also appeared on the Free State World game changers of the year alongside prominent radio presenters, musicians and other community activists. Only the sky is the limit for this lady from Clarens.
