Rising pageantry star, Lieka Terblanche from Bloemfontein, is steadily making a name for herself in the pageantry and modeling scene.
She is set to travel to the USA in June and July to participate in the Miss Universal Global International pageant and the Miss Pure Sparkle International.
Lieka’s journey into the spotlight began at a young age, fueled by a strong family tradition in pageantry and modeling. Her dedication, poise, and skills have already made a significant impact in the industry.
Her homeschooling background in Bloemfontein provided her with unique opportunities for visibility. In 2022, she showcased her versatility by appearing in a short film, further broadening her talents beyond pageantry.
Participating in several prestigious children’s and youth pageants, Lieka has earned titles and accolades that reflect her growing presence. She was crowned Miss Mangaung Pre-Teen 2025, a title that opened doors to greater opportunities. Additionally, in the South African Children and Youth Ambassadors program, she secured the Best Dressed 2nd Runner-Up award, along with a medal and a green jacket, representing South Africa.
Her remarkable journey continued when she was placed as 1st Princess at the Miss Free State pageant held in Brandfort on August 30, 2025. These victories highlight her elegance, confidence, and commitment to advocacy—qualities that are central to many modern pageants.
Lieka’s accomplishments have garnered her invitations to represent South Africa on international stages. Late in 2025, she received an invitation from Miss Universal Global International and Miss Pure Sparkle International to compete as South Africa’s representative in the upcoming competitions in the USA.
With her talent and determination, Terblanche embodies the next generation of South African talent in pageantry, ready to shine and hoist the Free State flag higher.
