17-year-old Bokang Mokubung from Bluegumbosch Secondary School in Qwaqwa, Free State, has not only made his school proud but the entire Free State Province as well.
He secured the first position in Quintile 3 Schools in South Africa and was the top learner in Quintile schools in Mzansi. Bokang has been an A-student at his school, often helping his fellow learners with their schoolwork.
He has been excelling in his entire Matric year and also served as the RCL President at his school. Bokang’s wish was to make it nationally and to be recognised with the best, a wish which he ensured came true.
He was the only Free State Learner at the National well-done function in Johannesburg, where Matric results were released by the Basic Education Minister.

Bokang received a hero’s welcome at his school, following his national achievement, and there is huge media interest surrounding him, which he truly deserves, following his hard work and making the province proud.
