The Phalo family from Ratlou Location in Thaba Nchu is urgently seeking assistance to repair their house, which is in a critical state of disrepair.
This two-roomed home is inhabited by ten family members, ranging in age from 11 to 39, and was severely damaged by strong winds in March 2023.
Since then, the family has been reaching out for help, including contacting their ward councilor, who they claim took photos but did not provide any aid.
A concerned community member, Kabelo Mei, has highlighted the family’s dire need for materials such as corrugated iron sheets, windows, cement, bricks, and poles. The family is deeply worried that their home may collapse at any moment.
