Popular acapella group, Mohlakeng Acapellas, a five-male group from Nyakallong in Allanridge, Free State has finally released their first official album. The 11-track album is titled “Motho o kgonwa ke sa hae” it was officially released in December 2023 under Mambazo Music and Gallo Records.
The group is made up of Mpho Radebe,Lucky Puso, Morapeli Motaung, Teboho Macheli and Jimmy Mokoena.
Mohlakeng are no strangers in the music landscape as they continue to mesmerize their fans and the Free State community with their tunes.
The group has shared the stage and performed with The Soil, Micasa, Tshepo Tshola, and Afrika Mamas and is currently working with Grammy-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo under Mobile Academy.
They have also performed at many prestigious festivals around the country including shooting TV virtual concerts. Mohlakeng’s songs have been playlisted on various radio stations. They also collaborated with Ladysmith Black Mambazo on the song “Asibavikele”
“Motho o kgonwa ke sa hae” is available on digital streaming platforms, The group will be hosting a free entry show on 18 February in at Lovies Chisanyama in Nyakallong Allanridge.
