Bloemfontein hip-hop sensation A-Shaun is back with a new single that is poised to catapult him to national fame and make him a fan favorite. His upcoming chart-topping single, titled “Night Shift,” will be released nationally on Friday, March 28.
A-Shaun, whose real name is Amos Shaun Seemela, is no stranger to the local music scene. He gained popularity with his first national single “SA Summer,” which he released under Electromode Ingrooves. This hit single helped him secure headlining spots at prominent shows across the Free State and South Africa.
A-Shaun’s brand is growing rapidly; he is also the creator of the popular clothing brand “Wolf Wear.” With a passion for music that began at a young age, he decided to take it seriously in 2014, experimenting with various sounds and collaborating with different producers. A talented and versatile rapper, he excels not only in rapping but also as a songwriter and performer.
His energetic stage presence continuously earns him praise and a growing fanbase. He has shared the stage with notable South African musicians such as the Scorpion Kings (Kabza and Maphorisa) and is set to perform at the Scorpion Kings CUFA Fest show in 2024.
In addition to his musical endeavors, A-Shaun actively supports local talent through his “Wolfy Night Show,” which he aims to expand into a national platform for emerging artists to showcase their abilities.
“Night Shift is a hustler’s prayer, a song for dream chasers that comes from the bottom of my heart and soul. It’s a must-have song with a positive message that aims to inspire and change lives,” A-Shaun stated.
The music video for “Night Shift” will premiere on Channel O, Trace Africa, and MTV Base on Friday, March 28. The video was filmed entirely in Bloemfontein.
