The lockdown during covid might have frustrated a lot of South Africans but for some people, it helped them discover their talent. One such person is Rorisang “AubutyRory” Rampheteng.

Rorisang hosts the Saturday Groove Show on Free State Live Radio, a Bloemfontein-based online radio station that is growing massively.

During the rife COVID time, Rorisang and his friend decided to keep themselves busy and did skits then later tried Radio, that’s where he discovered his love for broadcasting.

“I have the gift of being a broadcaster, I then joined Bergman Square FM through their auditions, I started as a News and Sports reader then later was promoted to host a show called Iketle le Rona.” Said Rorisang.

Following his departure from Bergman Square FM Rorisang joined campus radio, CUT FM where he spent two (2) years as a stand-in presenter.

Joining Free State Live Radio was a breath of fresh air and afforded Rorisang a platform to engage with listeners and continue doing what he loves. He credits his family for supporting him and encouraging him to pursue his dreams.

“My Radio idols are Ntate Thuso Motaung, Tholoana Moletsane, and Ba2cada. My show has entertaining segments like pranks, comedy, and loyalty tests which form part of our entertainment. We also have sports updates to keep our listeners updated with sports.” Rorisang added.
