The second edition of Voice of Disability through Music will take place on 1-2 December in Bloemfontein, Free State. In 2021, the first edition of Voice of Disability through Music was held which featured artists like Thabang Nkuna and Bondo, PeeKay Mzee, and John Paka.
The second edition will be held at PACOFS in Bloemfontein, held by Morena Berrie’s company, Mmabatho Communications in association with PACOFS.
The two-day event is held in celebration of disability month and is tailor-made for people and artists living with a disability but it is also open to all people. Day 1 will be filled with workshops for musicians and artists living with disabilities where they will learn about the music industry, music distribution, music rights, and airplay.
Day 2 will feature a music festival headlined by Thabang Nkuna and PeeKay Mzee who are set to perform with a live band.
Morena Berries, a person who lives with a disability and champions disability rights and opportunities, said the event is a platform to showcase and exhibit the talent and abilities of people living with disabilities.
Tickets to the event are R100.
