When two elephants collide, it is the grass that suffers. This will be the case when Tlokotsi Pejane battles Julius Juju “Dragon” Kgole from Skeem Saam in the boxing ring.
The boxing match is set to take place in Botshabelo, Free State, on 21 December at the Botshabelo arena. This highly anticipated event promises to deliver plenty of fireworks, as both fighters are determined to knock each other out for the ultimate bragging rights.
Tlokotsi Pejane, a teacher and artist, reflects on his upbringing, which lacked exposure to various opportunities. With eight years of experience on the school safety committee, he has seen firsthand how a lack of activities negatively impacts children’s learning and behavior.
This boxing match aims not only to provide entertainment but also to introduce young people to various sporting opportunities, inspiring them to pursue their dreams.
This charity boxing match will also support a local charity in Botshabelo that helps youth combat drug abuse and crime.
Tlokotsi is confident in his training and believes he will emerge victorious as the “dragon slayer.” On the other hand, Dragon has his eyes set on victory and is ready to take home the championship title.
The event will include entertainment from local artists and curtain raiser matches featuring various boxing clubs from across the Free State.
Even radio presenters are expected to step into the ring for some fun before the main event. The boxing match aims to rekindle interest in the sport, providing kids with a chance to explore boxing as a means of self-defense and discipline, while also addressing issues like gender-based violence.
