Moselantja Francina Makoloane, from Seroalo Location in Thaba Nchu, is seeking assistance to rebuild her shack, which was destroyed by a fire in October 2024.
Moselantja lived with her three children in the shack that was consumed by the flames, resulting in the loss of all their belongings. The cause of the fire remains unknown. She has been searching for help everywhere but has not had any success.
Although officials from Mangaung Metro Disaster Management visited and made a report, no concrete assistance has come from it. Following the fire, Moselantja has been staying in her sister’s unused shack, but this situation has its challenges. She reported that the shack gets flooded during rain, affecting her blankets and clothes.
“I need help to return to my piece of land and rebuild my shack. I am calling on good Samaritans to please help me, as I have sought assistance everywhere without success,” said Moselantja.
She mentioned that social workers provided her with toiletries and blankets after her shack burned down. Moselantja is specifically asking for corrugated iron sheets and poles to help her rebuild her shack. She can be reached at 078 473 1217.
