Navalsig High School learner Naledi Sethunya’s dream of representing her country and school is about to become a reality.

She has been selected as part of the Drum Majorettes team that will represent South Africa at the World Cup of Majorette-Sport that will be held in Agen, France from 18-21 July.

Naledi is part of the National Federation team that will be sent to participate in the World Cup by the Federation of Dance, Drill, Cheerleading, and Majorette Sport of South Africa. (FDDMSA).

The opportunity presented to Naledi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity she doesn’t want to miss. As such she welcomes any help to get there as she needs a total of R48 000 for the trip.

Good Samaritan Dr. Thabang Thinda has stepped forward to assist Naledi and through lobbying friends and those close to him, he managed to raise R7200 that was sent to Naledi to help her with her passport and visa preparations, a gesture that humbled Naledi and she thanked Dr Thabang and those who reached out to help her.

“I am overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of Dr. Thinda and the community. This opportunity means the world to me, and I promise to make everyone proud.” Said Naledi.

Naledi welcomes help and anyone willing to help can reach out to Naledi on 067 256 2652.
