You cannot mention big artists in Ladybrand without including the incredible artist Star Chalale. He is a well-known artist in that part of the Free State province.
Star’s music continues to dominate hearts and heal souls. He has performed in major festivals in and around the Free State Province. Rato Laka, Thuthung, Hona le Ntho, Ba Swabise and Kajeno are some of his songs that are fans favourite.
Star Chalale’s birth names are Pule Paulus Chalale and is based in Ladybrand, his EP, Thuthung continues to be a fan favourite despite its 2022 release. Music has always been part of Star Chalale’s life, he enrolled for formal music studies in 1992 at Funda Centre in Soweto, Johannesburg.
