Making clothes is what she was born to do and what the 23-year-old Heilbron fashion designer is passionate about.
Lindokuhle Vilakazi has been designing and altering clothes. She credits the support she has been getting from the people of Heilbron as it has enabled her to continue doing what she loves which is designing clothes.
In the beginning, she had no models and currently has fifteen (15) that work with her to showcase her work.
Lindokuhle said since a young age, she has always been fascinated with fashion, and the people she grew up with knew of her desire to be a fashion designer. Her family has been supportive and continues to support her dream.
Lindokuhle credits her mother for being a pillar of strength for her. Besides designing clothes, Lindokuhle offers sewing classes and is also a personal stylist.
“I am in the process of opening a non-profit organization where I will be re-designing school uniforms for less privileged learners and will be giving them food when they come back from school.” Said Lindokuhle.
