Author and activist Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe has announced the release of her compelling two-part series.

Part 1: FORGOTTEN GENDER: RESISTING THE ERASURE OF WOMEN FROM THE ANNALS OF HISTORY and Part 2: FORGOTTEN GENDER: THE NEXUS.

Drawing from personal experiences and extensive research, Lobe delves into the narratives of women whose contributions have been historically overlooked. She reflects on stories from the liberation movement, shares lived experiences across generations, and brings to light, interviews with women who might not have had the means to share their stories.

“Chronicling Her story is essential to ensure that gender inequalities and the power dynamics between men and women remain central to historical inquiry,” says Lobe.

She adds “By giving voice to these narratives, we challenge the traditional accounts and acknowledge the pivotal roles women have played throughout history.”

The series features forewords by Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, former Deputy President of South Africa and Executive Director of UN Women, whose lifelong commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment adds profound insight to the work. And Fébé Potgieter-Gqubule, the First Woman Secretary-General of the ANC Youth League.

Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe is a distinguished author, historian, and advocate for gender equality. With a passion for uncovering hidden narratives, her work focuses on bringing marginalized stories to the forefront.
