Talented young Bloemfontein actor Katleho Mabote keeps pushing boundaries and aiming high. The actor hailing from Phase 6 in Bloemfontein had his biggest TV acting break when he played the role of Musa in the Western-inspired Showmax telenovela “The Outlaws“. Katleho played the character of Mosa and excelled, earning praise from the A-listers in the acting space. Musa is an energetic gangster, Sesotho speaking and not afraid to speak his mind.
Katleho told Free State World that he loved his character as it exposed him to learn more about life in Lesotho.
Talking more about his character, Katleho said he is different from Mosa even though they have some similarities.
The former Bainsvlei learner rubbed shoulders with legendary actors he worked with on the show, something he never imagined possible. “Mosa has so much energy and he is so enthusiastic that’s how I think we’re similar.” Said Katleho.Katleho is also a budding scriptwriter, he reiterated that he auditioned for the Outlaws after completing his matric, and being selected to play Mosa was a dream come true as acting has always been his first love.
He further credited legendary actor Dr. Khotso Nkhatho who mentors him. Katleho also spoke highly of Tshepo Sebotha who supported his acting and taught him a lot about the industry and continues to do so. Seasoned actor, Mpho Sebeng is one of the people that Katleho looks up to.#BeTheFirstToKnow
